COMP4040: Exploring Web Design - Blogs

Why use a blog?

There are a number of good reasons for us to use blogs in this course:

What shall we do with the blogs?

I have set up a blog on which I will post comments about the session and ask you to respond by using the comment facility.

Each week I will post:

  1. an invitation for you to comment on any aspect of the session that you think appropriate;
  2. my reflections on how I thought the session went and how we might modify it to make it better;
  3. any additional posts that might be specific to particular activities we have done in the session

On your part I will expect you comment on each of the posts giving a considered reflection on what you think about the question presented. You should as a minimum indicate that you have read the post and that you agree or disagree with the ideas put forward or you give some answer to the question posed.

To access the blog use the link [Rowland's COMP4040 Blog] near the bottom of the left-hand menu. You will be able to read the posts immediately and at the moment you can comment but in the future you will need to create your own blog and then let me join you to the this blog.

When you have set up your own blog you should use it to post useful information, to reflect on how the module session has gone for, to ask the group questions or anything else you want to post. We need to come to an agreement on how much each person should use their blog during the module.

When you have set up your blogs I will add links to them to the left-hand menu so that we can all access them quickly if we wish to do so.
